Ourika Valley: Departure at 9:30am, back at about 04:00pm
“Ourika” is located at the feet of the High Atlas Mountains at about 50 km away from the ocher city of Marrakech. This joyful valley is famous by its beautiful landscapes in view of its colorful Berber villages in mud and its greenery with varied terraced crops... To be visited especially in Monday, Thursday or Friday, which are the weekly days when the Souks (traditional markets) are held.
The Berber villages by 4WD cars: Departure at 9:00am, back at about 04:30pm.
This excursion is a loop starting from Marrakesh towards the Atlas on 4WD vehicles, forcing stops to take photographs and to admire the beauty of the villages and “Moulay Brahim” Gorges, the village of Asni with its weekly Souk (the most important market of the area, held every Saturday), then a crossing track through villages clinging to mountains high up to 2000 m, then the itinerary continues onto the Ourika Valley with a visit of a Berber house. The lunch is taken at the Ourika Valley then back to Marrakech (Breakfast is included).
Essaouira (former Mogador): Departure at 8:00am, back at about 06:30pm (at 170 km away from Marrakech)
A day trip spent by the Atlantic coast, on the road, you’ll find “Argan” trees, specific to the region which was a Portuguese city at the time, Essaouira is now famous for its “Gnaoua” musicals Festival held each year, and also for its Jewish quarter .. La Scala with its cannons, the smell of Thuja wood of which many local handicrafts are made (free lunch)
The Lake – Amezmiz – Wirgane: Departure at 9:00am, back at about 04:30pm
This trip is a loop which starts from Marrakech towards the lake of “Lalla Takerkoust”, then the village of Amezmiz and its bighorn sheep’s sanctuary. Arrival to Wirgane by 12:30pm, free lunch with a homestay family or in one of the local restaurants. The itinerary continues towards the village of Asni, then reaching to the gorges of Moulay Brahim, after then “Tahnaout” and finally back to Marrakech. (The loop covers around 180 km). Transport by minibus.
Telouet through Tizi n'Tichka pass: Departure at 8:00am, back at 06:30pm (120 km away from Marrakech).
A trip which brings you to the various Berber tribes of the Central Atlas Mountains, through the pass of Tizi n'Tichka 2260 meters high, then you’ll arrive at the village of “Telouet”, the birthplace of the great former Pasha of Marrakech -El Glaoui- in the Time of the French protectorate, you can visit the ruins of his palace / Kasbah which remain the only witness of the time.
Imlil – Trekking day: Departure at 08:00am, back at 05:00pm.
“Imlil” is a Berber village located 70 km away from Marrakech; it is the starting point for climbing the Atlas Mountains, especially the “Toubkal” peak, the highest one in North Africa 4165 m high. This is an unforgettable day trip with lunch in the open air included (as a picnic). Back to Marrakech at the end of the day
Zagora in 2 days (Bivouac night): Departure at 7:30am, back at 05:00pm (360 km away from Marrakesh)
This 2-day trip with a bivouac night remains among the best proposed trips regarding the beautiful landscapes and natural sites such as Kasbah of “Ait Benhaddou”, the Draa Valley between the cities of “Ouarzazat” and “Zagora”, the village of “Tamegrout’ and its hundred-year-old Koranic library, then the itinerary continues to the dunes of “Tinfou”. Night in nomadic tents, dinner and breakfast are included.
